这其实是一个小幽默。

在原文开头的第一段，作者杜撰了 spokeskitty 这个词（模仿 spokesman, spokeswoman, spokesperson, spokesmodel 等词），大概可以译作“代言猫”或者“代言喵星人”。

然后到这一句作者用 the mouthless icon 指代 Hello Kitty 时，就插了一句：好吧，严格来说，（因为它没有嘴，所以）它什么代言都当不了。

这里的 "spokes" anything，其实就指任何以 spokes- 开头的词。
