注意junior high (school) 与 junior school 不同：后者用于英国英语中，用于指7至11岁的孩子上的学校（即相当于中国的“小学”）。《牛津高阶英语词典》的相关解释是：junior school noun [C, U] (in Britain) a school for children between the ages of 7 and 11 （英国）小学
