读了几遍，感觉这是说青铜优于粘土。where引导的从句偶尔也能表示“让步”意思。The clay absorbs a lot of light和the bronze has this very nice quality that you just cannot picture what that's going to look like之间的逻辑语义上有转折。中文就是，粘土就是吸收大量光，然而青铜品质非常好，你无法描述它会是什么样子。因此，我认这里where引导的从句是让步状语从句。
