He died and he was buried in the cemetery.
He was buried in the cemetery and he died.
夸无认为,上面的两个例句显然有不同的含义。第一句的意思我明白,但第二句就不明白了。怎么会先“埋”后“死”呢?活埋?
在没有额外语境的情况下,第二个句子违反了常规的生活常识和逻辑。
但是,如果有特定的语境(比方误诊宣告死亡的悲剧或文学作品中的特定案件情节),这个句子也可以被合理地解释:
场景 1:The doctors mistakenly pronounced the patient dead, and he was buried in the cemetery. Tragically, he died due to the lack of oxygen in the coffin.
场景 2: In the novel, the villain buried the hero alive,
and the hero died a slow, agonizing death.
