所以下面两句都对(但以省略 to be 的用法更普通)：

When we arrived, we found her crying in the corner.

When we arrived, we found her to be crying in the corner.

也有人认为，当要强调检验或调査的结果时，通常要加上 to be，但在实际应用，人们也不一定遵循此用法。
