than的比较用法疑惑

Today’s homework is easier than last time.

请问老师：这里than 后面是省略了the homework吗？

Today’s homework is easier than (the homework) last time. last time是做时间状语吗？

Today’s homework is easier than (the homework) last time.

按你上面的改写，last time 似乎应该是后置定语。

如果改写成下面这样：

Today’s homework is easier than (the homework you did) last time.

这样的话，last time 才是时间状语。
