看到第一个句子中的report and leader，和奉老师一样产生了些许疑问。于是查了查出处，来自经济学人，肃然起敬。于是转变思路，要么leader指人，report也指人（可能性不大），要么report指物，leader也指物（这个可能性大）。结果果真发现了符合语境的leader词义（英式用法），和report无缝衔接：(also leading article (both British English), editorial British and North American English) an important article in a newspaper that expresses the editor's opinion about an item of news or an issue; in the US also a comment on radio or television that expresses the opinion of the station or network。
