其实，(straight) from the horse’s mouth 是习语，意思是“（消息等）直接得来”“（消息等）来源可靠”“直接得自有关人士”“从可靠来源得来”“直接从知情者那里得来”等。如：
I got the news straight from the horse’s mouth. 我得到的这个消息来源可靠。
