Say your name is Rose. Social expectations may direct you to act womanly, smile gently, wear dresses, and grow your hair. This is perhaps unconsciously expected more of a woman named for a flower than one who goes by Alex,a name that in the US is common for males and females.

还有这句话中的“a woman named for a flower”是 name sb for sth的用法吗?

expect something from somebody/something Don't expect sympathy from me!

expect something of somebody/something That's not the sort of behaviour I expect of you!

Something is expected of somebodyof介词短语为状语。然后more A than B 为择比结构,肯定A,否定B,与其说是B,不如说是A。
