doing up here（up修饰的doing 还是here）
“Whatever are you doing up here Bill?” asked the vicar in surprise. 你究竟在这上面干什么，比尔？

这个up是修饰doing的还是修饰here的？
因为看了out at the sea (在外海)，这个out就是修饰at the sea的所有这里的up，就有点不清楚是修饰doing 还是 here，另外请告知up的词性，副词还是介词？

up here是副词与副词结合，两个合起来修饰doing的。表示“在（往，朝）上面，高处”例如（所有例句出自外研社出版的书虫.牛津英汉双语读物）：
le t's go down now. I don't like it up here.'现在我们下去吧。我不喜欢待在这里。说话人在高出
'Of course I can speak,' said the Scarecrow. 'But I can' tmove, up here on this pole... I'd like to get down. Can you help me?'
“我当然会说话了，”稻草人回答道，“不过我不会动，只能待在这根杆上……我想下来。你能帮我一下吗？”说话人在高出
'I like walking up here on the hill,' Mrs Lodge told Rhoda. 'And your house is the only one up here.'

有时候 up here表达了一种地位高高在上，高人一等的意思：
'You're suggesting inviting him up here, into our sitting room? Don't you think the kitchen is more suitable for him?'
“你想请他上到这儿，到我们的起居室？你难道不觉得他去厨房更妥当吗？”
说话人觉得请他到我们的起居室，他是啥人，和我们一样吗?我们高人一等，他只能到厨房。
