现在分词用法疑问

My object，to give a candid and truthful statement of facts：to repeat the story of y life，without exaggeration，leaving it for others determine. whether even the pages of fiction present at picture of more cruel wrong or a severer bondage.

这里用leaving为什么？不太理解。leaving it... .determine成分是作状语。

我的目的，是坦白而真实地陈述事实:不夸张地重复你的生活故事，把它留给别人去决定。即使是小说也会呈现更残酷的错误或更严厉的束缚。

备注：以上有个问题，others后面不定式to漏掉了. leaving it for others to determine为现在分词作状语，修饰前面不定式短语to repeat the story of your life without exaggeration.
