of up to的疑问

They travel at speeds of up to 30 knots.

这句话up to修饰30，请教老师可不可以去掉of，用up to介词短语修饰speeds？

参考译文：他们以高达30节的速度行进。

备注(1)：up to +数字表示“高达/多大” 相当于“as many as +数词” up为副词，to为介词两个一起构成副词短语修饰30 knots, up to 30 knots=as many as 30 knots

There are as many as 300 new products on show. 展出的新产品不下于300种.

备注(2)：at speeds of =at a speed of以...速度

Tidal bores can roar over the sands at speeds of 9 knots!

潮水涌浪可能会以九海里每小时的速度狂卷沙滩!
