逗号的问题
请教曹老师，都是简单句子，但句法上想提问几个问题，辛苦老师看一下！
①Do you like black，grey or blue？Then maybe you are quiet and shy.This is what psychologists tell us ，they are always studying the meaning of colors.They tell us，we are born with our favorite colors.
②Miss Smith says，“There are three people in your family，not two.”
第①句，This is what psychologists tell us与后面的句子为什么可以用逗号直接连接？
另外They tell us为什么也是用逗号连接？
第②句，后面的not two也是与前面直接逗号连接，以前听别的老师说后句是省略句的话，可以与前句直接用逗号连接，不知道这里的not two是不是这个点？还是其它什么用法。

1 .This is what psychologists tell us ，they are always studying the meaning of colors. 这二个句子并不是并列关系，第二个句子是对第一个句子中的psychologists的补充说明，是补充语。由于不是并列关系，所以不用逗号。
They tell us，we are born with our favorite colors. 这个句子就是所谓的自由间接引语，They tell us这个引述分句作为插入语，后面的引语成了主句。这个句子还可以把引述分句置于句末，仍然是插入语：We are born with our favorite colors，they tell us.
2 这是省略了but，not two实际是并列句的省略。
