5 动名词中完成体和一般时的选择
1.The young man still denies___the fire behind the store.
A.to start B.having started C.start D.to have started
2.The thief caught on the spot by the policeman denied___anything.
A.to do B.to have done C.do D.doing
以上两题deny后都是接Ving,但是为什么第一个题答案选B用完成体，第二个答案选D用一般体呢，第二个是否可用having done?请老师解答，谢谢！

deny doing = deny having done. 两个都是对的，deny doing更多见些。第一个题没有ing形式 所以选B。如果有就重复了。第2题 没有完成体，所以选D. 这说明这两个题出得都是对的。Michael Vince著Macmillan English Grammar p 41，曾提到deny+ing形式的意思和deny +完成式的意思基本没区别。
