▲quite 可以连用定冠词的（用在定冠词之前），这主要见于英国英语中。如：
He’s going quite the wrong way. 他路全走错了。
That’s not quite the colour I wanted. 那不完全是我要的颜色。
Children’s shoes aren’t cheap—quite the reverse. 儿童的鞋并不便宜——反而更贵。
▲一点补充：quite 与不定冠词连用时，通常要置于不定冠词之前。如：
He is quite a fool. 他是一个大笨蛋。
She is quite a doll! 她真是个美人！
It was quite a job to persuade him. 我费了九牛二虎之力才劝服了他。
She found her new sales job to be quite a challenge. 她发现她的新推销工作相当难。
It’s quite a scramble to get to the top of the hill. 要往上爬很长一段路才能到达山顶呢！
但若其后的名词带有形容词修饰语，则也可置于不定冠词之后。如：
