答案给的是C，给的解析是这里省略了相同的成分ride his bicycle in the streets. 然后不能选C的原因是do后面要有it。可是在章振邦先生的《新编高级英语语法》中（P1298）提到在许多情况下，动词性替代都可以为省略替代，并给出例句：John is smoking more now than he used to (do). 这里有do的话就是用替代词do代替smoke，如果没有do的话就是省略的结构。徐广联先生的《大学英语语法》也有类似的例句P916：Mark hoped that they would all do their duty to the country as Englsihmen should do.这里的do就代替do their duty，由此是不是可以推出上面题目中的B选项也是正确的呢，跪求大神帮忙解答。
