(2) Are there any students in the classroom now ?

答案是A. None

请教老师：第一题为什么不是B. nothing呢？我感觉应该选B. nothing, 我认为第一题选A. none是错的。

第二题又为什么选A. None呢？为什么不选B. nobody呢？

你的疑惑在于你并没有真正理解none的词义。词典对代词none的释义是：not any of a group of people or things : no amount or part of something. 即none指的是特定的人群或事物中没有任何一个或一些。通常none被of介词短语限定，即使没有看到of 介词短语，语境也隐含着of介词短语。所以它的用法不同于nothing或nobody。nothing和nobody是不可以被of介词短语修饰的。例如有人向你借钱，Can you lend me some money? 你回答说，I would love to, but I have none. 这里none就隐含了of介词短语，none of the money that I can lent to you. 你是不能回答I have nothing. 因为nothing是不受限定的，隐含着你连砖头都没有，这不符合语境的。所以你的第一句中，none=none of the food. 第二句中none=none of the students. 你选择nothing，意味着冰箱里连砖头都没有。选择nobody，意味着连恐怖分子都没有，这都是答非所问。找几本词典，认真看看none的英英释义，仔细体会使用none的例句的语境。
