动词及物动词take和have都有这种特殊用法。通常take后接一段时间，表示做某事需要花多长时间，have后接一段时间+不定式，表示主语有多少时间可以用来做某事。

假设今天是1号，我们可以说：

It will take one month for me to write this report. 我写这份报告将需要一个月的时间。

I have one month to write this report. 我有一个月的时间写这份报告。

我们可以用until介词短语替换时间名词表达类似的意思：

It will take until the end of the month for me to write this report. 我需要从现在到月底这段时间来写这份报告。

I have until the end of the month to write this report. 我有从现在到月底这段时间来写这份报告。

语义上，段时间名词做宾语，直接表示这段时间的长度；until介词短语则通过表示出这段时间的终止点来间接表示时间长度。语法上，由于take和have都是及物动词，我们只能理解为这里省略了是一个时间名词，或者把take和have的这个用法解释为不及物动词，即take和have本身就含有需要时间、有时间。其实最简单的办法就是不再分析，而把这种用法当做一种习惯用法，知道这是正确的，也知道其意义即可。
