5 If it was me doing sth句子成分问题
请教老师们，我的句子成分分析正确吗？
原文：If it was me choosing the cave, I would go with a smaller cave.
问题一：针对整个句子：
这是虚拟语气句，其中was也可以（更应该）写成were.
问题二：针对if条件状语从句：
1. 这不是强调句。
2. 这不是it形式主语句。
3. 本句中的it=the person，而choosing the cave 是person的定语。但我不可以说choosing the cave是it的定语。
请问我的理解正确吗？谢谢！

1 在过去式虚拟语气中，当主语为单数第一、第三人称时，用was代替were是更为普通的非正式用法，用were属于正式语体，用was更为常见。
2 it was me choosing the cave
这是强调句型的一种变体。国内语法书中所说的强调句型，英语术语为it-cleft construction 即it分裂句。剑桥英语语法P 1420 指出：
Extensions of the main pattern
(a) Non-fifinite clause in place of the relative clause
The element expressing the presupposition sometimes has the form of a gerund-participial or (for some speakers) infifinitival rather than a relative clause:
[22] a. Is it Kim making all that noise? b. %It is you to serve.
These are equivalent to relatives containing the verb be: who is making all that noise; who
are to serve.
即强调句型中的that分句可以被非限定分句替代（如果表达假设或臆测意义的话）。所以你的句子可以改写为：
If it was me that was choosing the cave, ...
