关于“this/these” 和“that/those” 的近指和远指区别如下

【1】 this/these指代离说话人较近的“名词” 即“人或事物”，this指代单数名词，these指代复数名词。

This is my mother.这个是我妈妈。    These are my books.这些是我的书。

【2】that/those指代离说话人较远的“名词” 即“人或事物”，that指代单数名词，those指代复数名词。

That is my father. 那个是我爸爸     Those are my pens.那些是我的钢笔。

区别总结：如果你爸爸和你妈妈都在你身边，你妈妈离你的距离是1米，你爸爸离你的距离是3米。如果你向你的朋友介绍你的父母。你就应该说，This is my mother and that is my father. 妈妈离你较近，你使用指示代词this, 爸爸离你较远，就使用指示代词that。同理these,those用法一样，不同是复数形式。

备注：this/that还用于电话用语，This 指代自己，that指代对方。
