非限制定语从句中which能否指代两个句子

I used to lay high on social ladder,and now fall into trough ,both of which teach me the lesson how to succeed.

这个句子是从某个朋友的推上看到的，which 在这里指代了前面两个主句？

这个句子是有问题的。你改为并列句试试。I used to lay high on social ladder,and now fall into trough，and both of them teach me the lesson how to succeed. 用them指代前面二个句子的内容显然是不妥的。此外，lay用作不及物动词，fall用一般现在时都是错误的。句子需要重写，最后不宜用定语从句，改为并列句即可。但主语也不宜用they，而应该用these experiences之类名词作主语。一定要用定语从句也只能用关系限定词which，例如，and these experiences have taught me how to succeed. 或者 which experiences have taught me how to succeed.
