1 to make matters worse 这是评注性状语，是说话人对句子的解释、评论。
2 是的，it应该改为them，指代的是little things.
3 这个句子确实语法有问题。where they are seated is too big or too small.是个陈述句，其中主语为where引导的名词性关系分句。where=the place where。即the place （where they are seated) is too big or small 是个陈述句，即that从句，而that从句是不能作介词about的宾语的，这里却把一个that从句（省略了that）和their food 并列，作介词about的宾语。可做如下修改：Dealing with customers who complain (that) their food is terrible and that where they are seated is too big or too small. 这样，complain后接二个并列的that从句。第二从句that可以省略，但第二个宾语从句的that是不能省略的。
