not to mention…的意思我知道，它表示“更不用说”。如：

The weather here is gorgeous, not to mention the wonderful food. 这里的天气太好了，更不用说美食了。

We were cold, wet, and hungry, not to mention [=and also] extremely tired. 我们都淋湿了，又冷、又饿，更不要说极度疲劳了。

He has two big houses in this country, not to mention his villa in France.他在这个国家有两座大房子，更别提他在法国的别墅了。

我的疑问是：not to mention…短语在句子中作什么成分？如果说是状语？那是什么状语？

not to mention = In addition to, besides what's already been said。

根据夸克，这应该是评注性状语(disjunct)，是说话人对自己句子的评论或解释。

按照剑桥英语语法的分析，这个不定式可以分析为补充语(supplement)，对前面句子作补充。

其实，如果你不是英语老师的话，你理解了句子的意思,并且会模仿使用就足够了，至于这个不定式短语做什么成分又有什么重要性呢？
