3 Spring Festival 前面为什么没有定冠词

这是高中英语新教材北师大版必修1第3单元中的一个句子(p52)。
其实，这个句子还有一个问题：那就是 Spring Festival 前面为什么不用定冠词呢？不是说中国的传统节日前面习惯上要加定冠词的吗？

中国的“春节”用the Spring Festival, Spring Festival 表示都可以：
The Chinese New Year is now popularly known as the Spring Festival.
Chinese people observe Spring Festival in the same way that western people observe Christmas.

当强调名称或泛指意义时，有时不用定冠词，但是多数情况下是用the的。例如：
1.In China, Spring Festival is the common name for Chinese Lunar New Year.
2. The Spring Festival is an annual event held in China and in Chinese communities around the world.
3. Chinese New Year celebrations, also known as the Spring Festival, in China start on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month of the Chinese calendar.
问题句的句子也可以加the.

中国传统节日前都不用加定冠词，你记错了，如Spring Festival（春节），Lantern Festival（元宵节），Dragon Boat Festival（端午节），Double Ninth Festival（重阳节），Tomb Sweeping Day（清明节）等。

“春节”Spring Festival前加不加the都可以。中国传统节日通常含有festival，且这类节日大多数都是带定冠词的，不带定冠词的较少。例如：
The Spring Festival
is the lunar New Year. 春节即农历新年。《新英汉大辞典》
This is the story of Qiqiao Festival. 这就是乞巧节的故事。（人教新课标《必修三》Unit 1）
