我用软件把音乐转换成电脑屏幕上的颜色线条。红色代表低音，蓝色代表鼓乐，绿色代表声乐或者旋律。这时候我凭视觉听着音乐。我喜爱做打碟师是因为那份创意，那些你用一台机器、两个转盘和一台混音器能够创编出的东西。

Then I can listen to the music by sight-reading these symbols. The reason why I love being a DJ is its creativity -- something you can compose with an equipment, two turntables and a sound mixer.
Next time you come to dance, just cover your ears, and you'll sense more or less how I’m doing it. You may start trying to use your other senses. Also, you could start to realize that you can enjoy music in quite a different way. Handling music does not rely entirely on your sense of hearing alone.
Now I work as a DJ at all kinds of parties, from school parties to company events. I also go to elementary schools for deaf children to talk with them about motivation and confidence. I enjoy talking to parents in particular, telling them: "My heartfelt advice to you is to let your children follow their dreams. I'm deaf, but I can be a DJ. Why don’t you let them pursue their own dreams?"
