3 its way在这句话中怎么理解
您好，我在学习新概念第二册时遇到这样一个句子：
Highway way 101 winds its way along the coast.（101高速沿着海岸蜿蜒前行）
我不能理解 its way 在这句话中充当什么成分，its表示它的，way表示路。感觉很困惑，如果没有its way这两个词，这句话翻译过来刚刚好就是“101高速沿着海岸蜿蜒前行”，但是加上了 its way 就好像成了“101高速沿蜿蜒着它的路沿着海岸前行”麻烦老师帮我分析一下，谢谢。

wind one's way：way 指 “道路；路线”，along 表示 “沿着”，及物动词 wind 表示前行的方式：“蜿蜒而行”。
我们常说：He made his way to the station. 意思是说，去车站的道路不好走，他要闯出（造出）一条路来前行，带有 “艰难行走” 的含义，例如由于天黑或道路泥泞等原因。

首先更正你句子中的一个笔误，应该是Highway 101.多了一个way.
wind （动词）其中一个意思是沿着弯曲的小路前行。你可以说， to wind a path through the mountains.这样大概你比较好理解了。但是wind one's way 形成了英语的习语，后面常见介词短语做状语。类似于汉语的蜿蜒而行。 用its way的习惯用语很多，我想你可能熟悉的to make one's way就是一个例子。
