你如果填 where，是定语从句，语法虽然不错，但你不觉得语义不通，没有逻辑吗？

翻译出来看看：

他来到了事故现场，他就是在那里听说发生了事故。

既然来到了事故现场，就说明他已经听说了事故，为什么来了之后才听说呢？

He came to the scene the instant he heard of the accident. = as soon as

这是个时间状语从句，the instant表示从句和主句动作几乎同时发生，所以从句和主句动词都用过去时。如果选where，后面的从句不能用过去时，而应该用过去完成时，He came to the scene where he had heard of the accident.
