1. inhuman 和 regimenting 都应按形容词看待，中间缺连词 and。为了分析，去掉 regimenting。

2. come to do：= begin to do.

3. seem + inhuman：系表结构

4. seem (to many) essentially inhuman：系表之间加一介词短语，“对许多人而言”。

5. 把上面的系表，变成比较结构：seem to many as essentially inhuman (as....)
