定语从句中引导词省略的问题

老师您好，谢谢您查看我的问题。这个句子出自一篇英语报道。

原句 "Honestly, I have never intervened in her choices. If she doesn't want to go, that will save me money," Liu says, adding that having a child spend more time with their family is more meaningful than taking extra classes.

我的疑惑是：在这个灰色的分句中，我觉得“spend more time with their family”是一个定语从句，但该定语从句的主语（关系代词）没有了，这是为什么呢？动词形式也用了原形，为什么不用第三人称单数呢？

如果是我自己写这个句子，我会写成 having a child who spends more time with their family...

你的理解是错误的。这是have sb do sth结构。have为使役动词，spend为不带to的不定式作宾补。
