我查字典里单词on在句子里做副词使用时，都与动词或是系动词连用，可是这个句子中150 years on却是单词on单独使用，我搞不明白这个表达方式。请老师帮助详细讲讲这里on的词性词意，和整个句子的表达使用方法，再请举一些相类似用法的例句来说明。

介词的位置在名词前，副词的位置在名词后。这是词语排列的基本规则。

“过了150年”：可以说 after 150 years；还可以说150 years on。on 的含义是“继续”，指在原来的时间节点上，继续了（过去了）150年。

网友的这个短语是作时间状语，以下例子跟网友的例子是一样的作用：

There is a gas station a few miles ahead. 前方几英哩处有一个加油站。

Reservations must be made two days ahead. 必须提前两天预约。

I last spoke to them 24 days back. 我最后一次和他们通话是在24天前。

这里的 on 是副词，意思是“之后，以后”，相当于（也可以改为） later ，即：150 years on =150 years later。如：

Now, 40 years on, this is one of the most successful theatres in the country . 40年后的今天，这家剧院成了国内最为成功的剧院之一。（摘自《朗文当代高级英语辞典》第6版）
