I'm not sure when we're going to change to a new name for the people born, say, now and on into the future.

为了好理解，去掉插入成分 say（比如说）。

I'm not sure when we're going to change to a new name for the people born now and on into the future.

1. now and on into the future，是一个并列的词组，作 born 的时间状语。

2. now 是单个的时间副词，介词短语 on into the future 由 and 与之连接。

3. 在介词短语 into the future 之前，加了一个副词小品词 on，表示“继续”之意，承接前文的 now。整个介词短语的意思 “从现在继续进入到未来”，给人的感觉是很自然的衔接。如果改为：now and in the future（没有了 on，缺少动态就不能用 into），好像把时间截成了两段，缺乏过渡。

4. 我不清楚，我们什么时候要为现在和未来出生的人更换新的名字（改名）。
