双宾语的被动语态怎么改

They had made a mess of the house.

在这个句子中，a mess是直接宾语，of the house是间接宾语，是吗？那把它改成被动语态，为什么A mess had been made in the house. 不对呢？这也是要把of加上吗？那改成A mess had been made of in the house. 对不对呢？

此外，She gives a pen to me. 改成被动，可以是A pen was given to me by her. 或 I was given a pen.

a pen和me是双宾语，当它们各自作主语时，一个有介词，一个介词会省略。那为什么本题，无论是a mess做主语，还是the house做主语，of都要有呢？

make a mess of sth 并不是双宾语结构，你按照双宾语去转换当然是行不通的。另外，make a mess of 为习语，很少用被动语态。所以你没有必要强行去转换。如果你在实际阅读中见到这个结构的被动语态，你尽管模仿使用即可。你没有必要自己去创造。
