Your hair wants cutting.= Your hair wants to be cut. 你的头发要理了。

Our house wants painting.= Our house wants to be painted. 我们的房子需要粉刷了。

This bill wants paying.= This bill wants to be paid. 这个账单需要支付。

The supper dishes want washing.= The supper dishes want to be washed. 晚餐用过的餐具得洗了。

这样用的 want 也可换成 need。
