3 nose前面为什么没有冠词也没有用复数

我觉得网友的质疑是有道理的。如果 eyes and a nose 前面有物主代词或定冠词之类的限定词修饰，则是可以的，如：
her eyes and nose
my eyes and nose
the eyes and nose
……
He was swollen about the eyes and nose. 他的眼睛和鼻子这一带肿了。
She wiped his eyes and nose with a wet face flannel. 她用一块湿的洗脸毛巾为他擦洗眼睛和鼻子。
When someone has hay fever, the eyes and nose will stream and itch. 当一个人染上花粉热时，会流眼泪、流鼻涕，还会感到眼睛和鼻子发痒。
以上用法可视为 eyes and nose 共用了前面的限定词，但本句中的 icing 是形容词，用形容词修饰单数可数名词，而不在其前使用适当的限定词，我认为不合适。
