as的用法

1.While this attempt to attack our country was easily deterred, it was not as easily avoidable.

这个as是副词还是连词？这里有省略吗？为什么不用so或者very呢？

2.I saw the debate. I think you came across as honest and open, ma’am.

这个as又是什么用法，为什么不直接用so呢？难道单独一个as能表示so的含义吗？

1 not as easily avoidable. as+形容词/副词原级，表示比较意义。as为程度副词，意为同样的。否定结构中意为不如...。例如：

Tom is 1.82 metres tall. and but John is not as tall. 约翰没有他高。

2 come across as +形容词，为习语，意为：给人以...的印象。例如：Did I come across as confident when I made my speech? 我演讲时是否给人有信心的印象。这个结构中as 为介词，与比较无关。与see A as B中的as用法相同。
