Thank you very much indeed. If it had not been for your advice I really _____ what I should have done.

A.do not know   B.have not known  C.had not known  D. would not have known.

If you went into town, you'd notice all the pubs have loud jukeboxes. (all the pubs have loud jukeboxes为客观事实,与事实相符,故用陈述语气)
If we had been spotted at that point, I don’t know what would have happened to us.
I hate to think what would have happened if we hadn’t arrived.
If Newton lived today, he would be surprised by what ______ in science and technology. (2007
A. had discovered                     B. had been discovered
C. has discovered                     D. has been discovered

Thank you very much indeed. If it had not been for your advice I really _____ what I should have done.
A.do not know      B.have not known     C.had not known      D. would not have known.

(1) If you went into town, you’d notice all the pubs have loud jukeboxes.
(2) If we had been spotted at that point, I don’t know what would have happened to us.
(3) I hate to think what would have happened if we hadn’t arrived.
(4) If it hadn’t been for your help, I don’t know what I’d have done.

If you had come earlier, you would have seen what had happened.

You saw what had happened.

If you had asked him, he would have told you that he would refuse to help.

He told you that he would reuse to help.

Thank you very much indeed. If it had not been for your advice I really don't know what I should have done.

至少两个地方无法解释:don't know 意思是“现在仍然不知道”;what I should have done 意思是“我过去本该做而没有做的事情”。

I don’t know what would have happened to us if we had been spotted at that point.

因为if we had been spotted at that point是修饰what would have happened to us的,它与I don’t know 无关。

If we had been spotted at that point, I don’t know what would have happened to us.

If we had been spotted at that point 则是修饰 I don’t know,现在,它修饰的对象变了,不是原来的 what would have happened to us

同理,I hate to think what would have happened if we hadn’t arrived. 如果把主句 I hate to think分隔出来,变成:If we hadn’t arrived, I hate to think what would have happened.

If we had been spotted at that point, I don’t know what would have happened to us. 能跟I don’t know what would have happened to us if we had been spotted at that point.

If we had been spotted at that point,   主句:I don’t know ...

I don’t know what would have happened to us if we had been spotted at that point.

I don’t know what I’d have done if it hadn’t been for your help.
