the moment (that) 可以作连词，引导一个时间状语从句，相当于 as soon as （一 ......，就 ......），其中的 that 可以省略。如：
the moment (that) ... as soon as ... 一 ...，就 ... I want to see him the moment he arrives. 希望他一到我就见到他。（摘自《牛津高阶英汉双解词典》第9版p.1385）
the moment 也可以改为 at the moment that 或者 at the moment when; 但是 the moment 是最常用的形式。（详见赵振才：《英语常见问题解答大词典》增订版第五版p.883）
在考试中，最好不要用 the moment when。

英语没the moment when这种说法，这是受when的影响产生的错觉。都说 the moment (that) , that 可省略。
