作文中一个句子的虚拟语气应用
If I am admitted to the club, I would like to be an actor so that I can decide which plays we want to put on and perform in them.
若按照虚拟语气，am 应该为 were, can 应改为 could，此句是否应改动一下。谢谢！

▲这里无需改用虚拟语气。你之所以想改用虚拟语气，可能是受 would like 中 would 的影响。但实际上 would like 已是一个固定表达（表示“想要”，后接名词、代词或不定式），与虚拟语气无关。如：
I would like a piece of cake. 我想要一块蛋糕。
I would like to speak to the person in charge. 我想与负责人谈谈。
I would like to say a few words in this regard. 关于这问题我想说几句。
We would like you to come and visit us. 我们希望你到我们这里来做客。
Lastly, I would like to ask you about your future plans. 最后，我想问问你将来的计划。
Some people would like to see the death penalty come back. 有些人希望恢复死刑。
I would like a sandwich of sliced ham with cheese. 我要一份火腿加奶酪的三明治。
▲当然，如果要改用虚拟语气也不是不可能。那样的话，则表示这个条件是不太可能成为现实的（但根据句意，显然用陈述语气更合适，因为“我”肯定希望这个条件是可以实现的）。比较：
陈述语气：If I am admitted to the club, I would like to be an actor so that I can decide which plays we want to put on and perform in them.
虚拟语气：If I was [were] admitted to the club, I would like to be an actor so that I could decide which plays we wanted to put on and perform in them.
▲顺便一提，不知你的句子来自何处。感觉句子有两个小问题：一是句子的逻辑问题——作为一名演员好像并不能决定哪些地剧本可以上演，哪些不能上演；二是句末的 them 好像是多余的。
