此题用economy，不需要特指，不需要加 the。
我给纠正一下网友说的这句话：
”经济“是可数的，限定了国家，对应的名词也理应用the吧。
1. 一个普通名词是否可数，跟能不能加 the 无关，不可数名词同样可以根据需要加 the 或 不加 the。关键看是否特指。例如：
Water is the source of life.
You can't drink the water. （这一句必须加 the，如果不加 the，人怎么生存？）
2. “限定了国家”，是不是想说：economy 被介词短语限定后，而应该加冠词。其实， in the country 这个地点状语，不是“所属关系”，不是 of the country，所以，enconomy 不是特定的，它仍然是一个泛指概念。例如：
economy in the world
economy in this country
economy in Hong Kong
economy in the city
3. 如果改为 of the country，economy 才是特指的，“属于某个国家的经济”。例如：the economy in the country was not running well.
