These right-wing groups in United States who were pushing to try to overturn those orders and calling it tyranny, and not just them but the president of the
United States, that sort of rhetoric can embolden people who may have a predisposition toward violence.
1)我认为上述callling it tyranny有误,句子的本意是calling it tyranny作those orders的定语的,“称之为暴政的那些命令”。
可以改成and they called them tyranny 或 改成 those orders (being) called tyranny. 不知对否?
2)that sort of rhetoric 这里似可有2种理解,一种是sort是种类的意思,另一种是sort of是副词:有点儿的意思。 我觉得这里这2种理解都可以。
以上2点,请老师批评指正!
