其实，在be后面不及可以见到before/after从句，还可以见到because, if, when, so that等引导等从句。例如：

3 另外，这种结构也可能是强调句型省略了that从句（that从句内容在前面提及过了）。

4 一个故事或小说可能这样开头：It was before China adopted the reform and opening-up policy. I worked in a small government-run company and ...

It 在此指后面要讲述的事情，was在此是happened 或 took place的意思。
