This ancient cemetery is home to 11 pyramids and hundreds of tombs. But one structure dominates all others the first pyramid ever built.

1) 应该是be home to 还是be the home to ? 好像牛津词典上the可加可不加。

2) the first pyramid ever built.是But one structure的同位语，后置了吧？

3）肯定句中the first pyramid ever built.的ever如何理解含义？

the home to不是惯用搭配，但有home to的搭配用法。home“故乡的，故土的”是形容词；home to“对……来说是故土、是家园、是所在地”，意义近似于the home of。例如：

Jamaicais home to over two million people. 牙买加是两百多万人的家乡。

The Rockies are home to bears and mountain lions. 落基山脉中有熊和美洲狮生存。

▲the home of是惯用搭配，表“……的产地（生长地；发源地；栖息地）”。例如：

Is Chinathe home of pottery? 中国是陶器的发源地吗？

Greeceis the home of democracy. 希腊是民主的发祥地。

Yunnan province is the home of elephants and peacocks. 云南是大象和孔雀的生息地。

1. 应该加破折号。没有标点无法断句。

2. be home to “习语”。“是......故乡、家园、栖息地”。就像 at home 一样，home 前习惯上不加冠词。

3. —— the first pyramid ever built，加破折号后，是one structure 的同位语。

4. ever 指时间“有史以来”。
