请教老师through在此处的意思
On the site of a ruined farm, the designer Cliff McLucas devised a skeleton structure from two cubes of scaffolding and planks which provided a series of rooms on three levels running through the ruin.

through the ruin：遍及/遍布整个废墟。
through = throughout= all over 遍及、遍布
rooms on three levels：作定语，不是状语，不是“在三层楼上提供房间”，而是“三个不同层次的房间”（指空间）。
provided a series of rooms on three levels running through the ruin.
提供了一系列遍布废墟的三个层次的房间。
