关于 as 引导表语从句的疑问
在网上看到一个句子
Every idea we have is as it were copied from what we sense or experience.
只讨论表语从句部分，此句可省略为
Idea is as it were copied from... .
对于此句我有两种理解：
1、按常规说法，as引导表语从句时在句中作成分，那么从句的it是不是就多余了？也就是说上句是个病句，应改写为
idae is as were copied from... .
as 在从句中作被动语态的主语。
2、as只是连词，在从句中不作成分。
Idea is as it were copied from... .
从句中的it作主语，指代idea。
不知道哪种理解对，其实还是对as引导表语从句用法不太懂，麻烦各位老师、专家帮忙解答一下，万分感谢！！

你的以上理解都是不正确的。as it were是个习语，通常作为插入语用作句子中，表示说话人一时想不起一个准确的用词，而用了一个临时想出来的词，但他表示的意思是正确的。as it were 通常可以翻译为，似乎，好像，可以这么说，等。
词典（《韦氏高阶》）对此的解释如下：
as it were
— used to say that a statement is true or accurate in a certain way even if it is not literally or completely true
His retirement was, as it were [=so to speak], the beginning of his real career.
你的句子中，作者没有在as it were前后用逗号隔开，但通常是应该用逗号隔开的。
Every idea we have is, as it were, copied from what we sense or experience.
句子为被动语态，句子主干为： every idea is copied from...。as it were 为插入语，不参与句子成份的分析。
句子译文：我们的每一个观念似乎都来自我们的感觉或是经验。

【说明】 as it were 的前面和后面都应该用逗号。
