使用过去时和现在时的时态困惑？

It's=It is.

为什么这里使用了didn't know一般过去时时态？

为什么不是don't know与前面的It is呼应呢？

是否可以改成...

It's no use your pretending that you haven't known the rules.

请教老师分析！

roughly means:

It is meaningless that you pretend that you didn't know the rules.

(1)...that you didn't know the rules.

happened sometime in the past

(2)...right now you are pretending (1)

主句为现在时，从句的时态不受限制，该用什么时态就用什么时态。所谓时态一致，主要针对主句为过去时，宾语从句要用相应的过去时态。

你把时态一致原则滥用到主句为现在时的句子中了。

《韦氏高阶》例如：

I'm going to pretend (that) we never had this conversation.
