要表示“为……做准备或准备工作”，英语通常用 make preparations for。如：
We are making preparations for the journey. 我们在为旅行作准备。
She is making preparations for her marriage. 她正在为结婚做准备。
The country is making preparations for war. 该国正进行备战。
The students made their final preparations for the test. 学生们为考试做了最后准备。
