wish/if only 时态填空问题

You are making a lot of noise. I wish you (wouldn't.)

He plays the piano so well. I wish I did.

请问:为什么第1句这个空填wouldn't 而不能是didn't? 而第2句就可以用did?

It's a pity John's away. If only he (weren't)

"离去"并不是现在发生了,为什么不是用hadn't 表示过去呢?

2. 你看到前面是John's away了吗？John is away,不是John has gone away。be away是现在。

1. 同学啊，你wish的对象都不一样，你怎么你能把“肯定”与“否定”这么套用呢？一个是wish you, 一个是wish自己。这已经不是语法问题，是思维问题了。

He plays the piano so well. I wish I did too=I wish I could play it as well as he does.

2. It's a pity John's away. If only he (weren't)

John is away=Jonh is absent=Jonh is not here.

If only he weren't=If only he were not absent/away. 是对现在状态的描述，不是对过去动作。你从哪句里能找到过去的动作？
