Between and 的用法

老师，最近看到这样一句汉译英：

卫星用于美国与英国、法国、意大利之间的通信。

This satellite is used for communications between the United States and Great Britain, France and Italy.

后面的and使用会不会有歧义？

没有歧义。

This satellite is used for communications between the United States and Great Britain, France and Italy. 等于：

This satellite is used for communications between the United States and Great Britain, between France and Italy.

这个结构，很明显是两个 between...and...。
