有人说ever用的不对。 一定要用once吗?

解答：

        英译句中的ever， 应改为once才对，因为once = at some time in the past 或formerly (往昔），在肯定句中常与过去时态的动词同用。例如 Once there lived a queer fellow in the village.(从前村里有一个怪人。) She was once very miscrable. (她曾有一度很悲惨。) Egypt was a once powerful nation. (埃及曾经是一个强国。) I was very fond of him once. (我往替很喜欢他。) 

        至于ever一字，用于现在时态，现在完成时态及过去时去时态的疑问句中，才有“曾经”的意思，用于条件句及否定句中，则有“无论如何”的意思。
