这句话有无错误
Though having been ill for years，he is now quite well. 虽然他病了好几年，现在却完全好了。 请问这句话有无错误？怎么改好?

有错误。
改though 为after或不用皆可。
因为though 是一个连词，后面必须跟上一个从句, after虽然也可作连词用，但主要用作介词。比如说:
I can not do it like he does. (我不能照他那样做。) 就是错误的。
因为 like是介词，后面不能跟从句，必须改成连词 as 才行。如果要用介词like，就要把后面的 he does 改成 him，也就是说:.
I cannot do it like him. I can not do it as he does.
同理，原例句应改为:
Though he has been ill for years, he is now quite well. 或者:
After having been ill for years，he is now quite well. 或者:
Having been ill for years，he is now quite well.
又如: After all my care (Although / though I was so careful), it was broken.
我非常当心，但它还是破了。

有点灰色地带的感觉。
Though是连词，但连词依然可以接上reduced clause
比如 Though living in Holland he works in Germany.
关于Though having been ill for years，he is now quite well.
我的观点是语法结构上成立，但过去繁杂，把不需要的部分全部删除，改为
Though ill for years，he is now quite well.

网友mikee 把连词和介词混在一起了。though 是连词，不是介词。在它引导的句子中，只能省略主语和 be 动词，而且要省一块省。having been 在这里是个“四不像”，必须省去。这里面涉及现在分词和动名词的问题：连词状态下是现在分词；介词状态下是动名词。所以，我把网友提问的句子，以及你的句子，判断如下：

Though living in Holland he works in Germany.（正）
